Thunder ADC for AWS has been designed for high performance, flexible, easy-to-deploy application delivery, and advanced server load balancing. It is optimized to run natively within AWS and offers a comprehensive feature set across advanced Layer 4-7 services for AWS hosted workloads. Application acceleration and comprehensive application scripting with aFleX®, ensure faster deployments to the cloud and overcome unforeseen scenarios.

    Application availability is provided with advanced traffic distribution, global server load balancing (GSLB), server health monitoring and persistence. Security is enabled with TLS/SSL offload, authentication, and DDoS protection.

    Thunder ADC features an advanced load balancing feature set that enables rapid provisioning and on-demand access. It can be deployed using the vThunder Bring Your Own License (BYOL) offering for customers with existing licenses purchased via other A10 channels or as Pay-as-you-Go subscriptions purchased within the AWS Marketplace.

    Automated deployments, configurations and easy to manage operations can be enabled by using A10’s extensive integrations with a range of IaC and automation platforms.

    Pricing and entitlements for this product are managed outside of AWS Marketplace through an external billing relationship between you and the vendor. You activate the product by supplying an existing license purchased outside of AWS Marketplace, while AWS provides the infrastructure required to launch the product. Subscriptions have no end date and may be cancelled any time. However, the cancellation won't affect the status of an active license if it was purchased outside of AWS Marketplace.

    The biggest advantage I feel using the ADC solution is the ease of routing between the different segments that are behind the solution, compared to F5.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Thunder ADC also as Application Delivery Controller is a critical component in modern network infrastructure, which is currently focusing on optimizing the delivery of various of applications and it's services to the end users. It's Load balancing and traffic management these two are the key points to move ahead with the technology.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    There are some points which we can dislike or we can say it as a Con l. Among them one is Cost which is much expensive and for the next con we can point out the complexity and vendor lock in as well as performance overhead.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    A10 Thunder ADC addresses many key challenges in modern network infrastructures such as it's optimise the application delivery which distributes incoming traffic efficiently as well as its enhancing the security by ensuring scalability and flexibility. It also simplifies and streamlines the network operations by centralizing application delivery and management tasks.

    What do you like best about the product?
    It enables us to comply with an auditing program by allowing us to also segment in scope devices. Having the flexibility to load scripts also helped us address requirements
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Nothing really as it already complies with our requirements. But if i may add, the lead time of delivery affected our planning for the deployment of a10 as we are needed to wait for another 2 weeks to deploy
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Load balancing, reverse proxy and SSL certificate offloading. It helps us address these network requirements
