You run this software at no license charge, so pricing reflects only the AWS EC2 instance you choose to host it on. The dimensions map to different instance types, billed per hour. You select based on the compute and memory your deployment needs. The t-family options (t2, t3, t3a) cover general-purpose sizes from nano up to 2xlarge for smaller or bursting workloads. The m-family options (m3, m4) cover larger sizes up to 16xlarge for heavier workloads. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly rates. Pricing scales with the instance size you pick.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate on each dimension actually cover, given the software itself is free?
The hourly rate reflects the AWS EC2 instance you run the software on. Wazo charges no license fee. You pay only for the compute and memory of the instance type you select, billed per hour of running time.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly charges apply while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly compute charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes. The meter tracks running time only.
Why choose a t-family instance over an m-family instance for hosting?
The t-family (t2, t3, t3a) offers general-purpose sizes suited to smaller or bursting workloads. The m-family (m3, m4) provides larger sizes with more memory for heavier, sustained workloads. Pick based on your call volume and number of tenants. Both bill per hour.
