Cloud-based testing has simplified remote mobile validation and provides flexible device coverage

    Reviewed on Jan 12, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I can provide a review for one of the products that I have experience with. The kind of testing tools we use includes a real phone for testing our application, but we were searching for a cloud solution for testing. However, we ultimately did not choose any of the companies we were trying.

My experiences with BrowserStack  and LambdaTest  include conducting very important tests on both products. I was really surprised by LambdaTest . It was a very good service and for the price, I think it is a very good solution. However, we did not test all of the products, as we only tried these two products.

We tried LambdaTest for testing to determine if the solution could be a good fit for us. The testing was conducted during one month with 20 people for evaluation of the solution.

Geolocation testing helped verify localized content, as we used this function, but I did not test it very deeply, so I do not have comprehensive information that would be useful.

After a few months, we realized that the phone that we have was sufficient for us.

The main differences between the real phone and LambdaTest, in my opinion, are that because we have old iPhones, we can give the employees who need a real phone for testing a device. We were searching for a solution to help them access a different kind of iPhone. If I were the only one to decide if it is a good solution, I would choose LambdaTest. However, because of the many phones that we have, the final decision was to keep our real phone. I think in two or three years, we may need to reconsider this decision.

    What is most valuable?

The best features with LambdaTest that I liked most include an easy interface, user-friendly design, and not overly technical functionality for people using it. It is user-friendly, easy to understand, and easy to start testing with this solution. Additionally, each time we saw something that did not seem to work very well, we reached out to the company, and they returned the call very quickly and helped us find a way to solve each problem we encountered.

I did use the geolocation testing feature.

    What needs improvement?

I was not impressed with how detailed their analytics and logs are from LambdaTest. The solution we were testing is being used because many of us are working from home. It was easy to implement because with a real phone, we have to bring a real phone to each person. Since three years ago, many employees have been working from home, so we were trying to find a solution for this challenge. We had no need to exploit the information for the analytics generated in the background. The purpose was simply to make it easy for our employees to access a phone.

The downsides I noticed include that the pricing was very good, but the visual quality of the image sometimes suffers. The contrast on a real iPhone provides better contrast than with the cloud solution. The only aspect that was less favorable than on a real phone was the contrast of the color.

For how long have I used the solution?

We tried LambdaTest for testing to determine if the solution could be a good fit for us. The testing was conducted during one month with 20 people for evaluation of the solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

My experiences with BrowserStack  and LambdaTest include conducting very important tests on both products. I was really surprised by LambdaTest. It was a very good service and for the price, I think it is a very good solution. However, we did not test all of the products, as we only tried these two products.

How are customer service and support?

The best features with LambdaTest that I liked most include an easy interface, user-friendly design, and not overly technical functionality for people using it. It is user-friendly, easy to understand, and easy to start testing with this solution. Additionally, each time we saw something that did not seem to work very well, we reached out to the company, and they returned the call very quickly and helped us find a way to solve each problem we encountered.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

    How was the initial setup?

In my opinion, it is very easy to set up.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

My experiences with BrowserStack and LambdaTest include conducting very important tests on both products. I was really surprised by LambdaTest. It was a very good service and for the price, I think it is a very good solution. However, we did not test all of the products, as we only tried these two products.

After a few months, we realized that the phone that we have was sufficient for us.

What other advice do I have?

I would assess the benefit of LambdaTest's automated Selenium grid testing as not applicable because we wanted to see what the difference is and what it would bring us to use a cloud solution.

I would give LambdaTest an eight on a scale of one to ten. I rate it an eight because it offers many kinds of phones and many versions. It is easy to understand the product. Each time I selected a command, the response was really sufficient for us.

The real phone that we use includes different versions of iPhone and different versions of Android.

I am not familiar with Apple products such as iPhone 16, iOS SDK , or ARKit  because we just use the common iPhone to ensure our customers receive support. We use the iPhone that we know our customers mainly use.

My overall rating for LambdaTest is eight out of ten.

    Reviewed on Apr 25, 2025
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I use LambdaTest  for cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing, as well as accessibility testing. I utilize it for my entire suite of testing requirements.

    What is most valuable?

HyperExecute adds significant speed to execution, enhancing the overall testing process. LambdaTest  also offers features like cross-browser, cross-device, and cross-platform testing across thousands of mobile devices. Their accessibility and visual regression testing are robust. Additionally, KANEAI, promoted as a flagship product, is being reviewed by me and seems promising.

    What needs improvement?

The execution reporting can be improved for better integration between automation execution and accessibility platform reporting. There are specific use cases related to authentication and authorization that could be enhanced, but I believe the focus should be on improving reporting capabilities.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using LambdaTest for approximately six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have not encountered any stability issues with LambdaTest.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability depends on budget. LambdaTest can scale efficiently as it is cloud-based, allowing for adjustments based on financial resources.

How are customer service and support?

The sales and support teams are effective, although aligning client expectations with their roadmaps can occasionally be challenging. They are supportive, listen to needs, and acknowledge when deadlines are missed, working on solutions and making action plans.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used tools like Automation Anywhere  and SmartBear TestComplete  but have transitioned to current trending technologies.

    How was the initial setup?

The setup is not complex, especially if I follow the documentation. I would rate the setup ease at seven to eight out of ten.

    What was our ROI?

I purchased LambdaTest to enhance my testing coverage, not for cost savings. While my test coverage has significantly improved, full exploration of its capabilities is still underway.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing of LambdaTest depends on the deal negotiated. It is cost-effective compared to competitors like BrowserStack  and Sauce Labs , offering similar features at a better price point.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Cypress, BlazeMeter , LambdaTest, BrowserStack , GitLab , and Sigma  are among the tools I have used or evaluated.

What other advice do I have?

Don't worry about anything. Just go for it. There will not be an issue, as far as you know what you are buying and how you want to use it. Go for it, the platform is good. I rate the solution eight out of ten due to some areas needing improvement. I rate the overall solution eight out of ten.

Automation speeds up testing but installation challenges persist

    Reviewed on Mar 18, 2025
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use LambdaTest  for app testing.

    What is most valuable?

The primary feature that has significantly improved our test execution times is automation. However, there is a lack of devices to connect to. Real device testing depends on what we are testing. If we are testing any native features, like scanning a QR code, it's useful. Otherwise, the majority of the tasks can be done in the simulator.

    What needs improvement?

LambdaTest  needs to improve its speed and memory because it takes a long time to load. The ease of installation is also an issue; they need to open up a few things for us to be able to install in our region.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using LambdaTest for about a year, but we've had some issues with the latest updates.

How are customer service and support?

We are in communication with them regarding our latest issues.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Neutral

    How was the initial setup?

Installing LambdaTest was difficult because they need to open up a few things for us to be able to install in our region.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I am not responsible for the payments, but from what I hear, it costs about $30,000 a month, which is quite expensive.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

LambdaTest supports Jenkins , among other tools, except for its own APIs. We don't currently have an AI-driven testing strategy.

What other advice do I have?

The recommendation of LambdaTest to others depends on their needs, particularly if they require testing native features that cannot be done on a simulator. App testing that does not require native feature testing can be done on a simulator. I would rate the overall solution seven out of ten.

We have been using LambdaTest for almost eight months.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have increased our test case number, and LambdaTest is facilitating that increase. However, I am not sure how they handle scalability on the vendor side.

How are customer service and support?

Their customer support is good. Whenever we raise a concern or issue, they support us instantly. They are very well supported during initial setup and adaptation.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used BrowserStack , which was expensive compared to LambdaTest. Due to budget concerns, we decided to shift from BrowserStack  to LambdaTest.

    How was the initial setup?

Their customer service supported the initial setup very well.

    What was our ROI?

The shift to LambdaTest from BrowserStack due to budget concerns was cost-effective.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

BrowserStack was expensive compared to LambdaTest. We switched to LambdaTest to save money.

What other advice do I have?

LambdaTest is well suited to our budget and requirements. It may not be the best tool for everyone, but it suits our needs.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
