Overview
Sort is a platform that takes the best practices of agile software development and IT ticketing, and bakes them into workflows for modern data change management.
Sort seamlessly integrates with your databases, and gives users and admins a single, shared home for proposing, reviewing, and executing data changes, available through a UI or API.
How It Works
- Step 1: Propose Data Changes
A user notices data that needs to change, and submits a change request, with the Sort UI or API
- Step 2: Review and Make Data Changes
Admins and engineers review the change and approve or deny it.
If a change is approved, Sort automatically makes it within the database.
- Step 3: Log Data Changes
Sort logs every request, review, and change, creating a clear, auditable history of what changed, by who, and why.
Where Sort Fits
- Sort creates modern data change management anywhere manual, legacy processes are still followed.
- Typically, Sort is best for:
Ad-hoc data changes (e.g. a single value in a customer record needs to be updated)
Front-line data change requests (e.g. a customer service agent notices a gap in a customer's record)
Databases without a data change management tool built-in (e.g. the myriad standalone, internal databases most companies deploy)
Common Use Cases
1. Customer Service, Operations, and Other Frontline Functions
2. AI Tools that Change Databases without Oversight
3. Development, Analytics, or Other Functions with Frequent Ad-Hoc Change Requests
Highlights
