This package contains the core Linux components, Zabbix, in a secure image. This provides a framework for monitoring servers, infrastructure and websites.
This package allows you to quickly start monitoring your websites and servers thanks to its Zabbix-based framework. As a monitoring administrator, it offers a powerful tool that will allow you to monitor and maximize your infrastructure resources.
This image is configured for production environments.
Key features:
Real-time monitoring: Monitor the status and performance of multiple infrastructure parameters, such as server status, CPU usage, network, and applications.
Automatic alerts: Configure notifications (e.g., via email or NTFS push) for specific events, facilitating a rapid response to issues.
Data visualization: Provides customizable reports and dashboards to visualize metrics, which is useful for capacity planning.
Scalability: You can monitor from a single server to thousands of devices distributed across multiple locations.
Automatic Discovery: You can automatically discover network devices, file systems, network interfaces, and SNMP OIDs, simplifying configuration in large environments.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run this Zabbix monitoring package on. Billing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while an instance runs. The options are not feature tiers; each one maps to a different EC2 instance type. They span general-purpose families (t2, t3, t3a, m5, m5a, m5d, m5dn, m5ad, m5n, m5zn) and compute-optimized families (c8i, c8i-flex), ranging from small sizes like nano and micro up to large multi-xlarge and bare-metal instances. Larger instances with more compute, memory, or storage carry higher hourly rates.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I receive when I run one of these hourly instances?
You get a preconfigured Zabbix monitoring package running on the EC2 instance size you select. Zabbix gives real-time visibility of servers, networks, and applications with alerting. The instance type sets the compute, memory, and storage available to run your monitoring workload.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges accrue only while an instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not generate software charges. Underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still incur separate AWS fees, but the package meters running hours only.
Why choose a compute-optimized c8i instance over an m5 general-purpose one?
The c8i and c8i-flex families favor compute-heavy monitoring loads with many hosts or high polling rates. The m5 families balance compute and memory for general workloads. Both bill by the hour. Your choice affects available resources and the hourly rate, not the monitoring features included.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
