AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for a ready-to-run image bundling IBM WebSphere MQ with MidVision RapidDeploy. Pricing is not tiered by feature. Instead, each dimension is an AWS EC2 instance type, billed per hour the instance runs. Rates scale with the instance's vCPU count and family, so smaller sizes cost less per hour than larger ones. You choose the compute-optimized, general-purpose, memory-optimized, or storage-optimized instance that fits your workload. You pay only while an instance runs; stopped instances incur no charge. Run as many instances as you need.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What am I actually paying for with each hourly instance charge?
You pay for the right to run the instance, standard support, and the license for the bundled IBM WebSphere MQ and MidVision RapidDeploy software. The charge covers the instance while it runs. Each started hour, or part of an hour, is billed at the rate for your chosen instance type.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped?
You pay only for launched, running instances. When an instance sits in the stopped state, you incur no software charge. Charges resume once you start it again. Your underlying AWS cloud provider may still bill for storage attached to a stopped instance.
How does the hourly rate change when I pick a larger instance type?
The rate is set by the instance you launch, based on its vCPU count and family. Smaller sizes bill less per hour than larger ones. You can run any number of instances at once. Each is charged separately at its own instance-type rate.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Launch an instance of the image, minimum medium instance type is recommended. If the instance has started up and passed both status checks, log in with the default user "mqm", with the given keyfile. Use the scripts in the user's home directory to manage WMQ Advanced or RapidDeploy.
