    Overview

WorkHQ enables enterprises to automate entire workflows to drive desired business outcomes, not just individual tasks, by seamlessly coordinating people, systems, AI and RPA in a single flow.

With a rich connector ecosystem, AI-assistance, and governance-ready architecture, Workflows helps organizations:

    • Accelerate enterprise AI adoption by integrating agents safely and at scale.

    • Unify all agentic workflows in one governed environment with end-to-end visibility.

    • Leverage a rich connector ecosystem and AI-assisted design to simplify complex processes.

    • Extend automation beyond traditional rules-based RPA into complex, high-value processes that include AI agents, digital works, APIs and human-in-the-loop.

    Includes:

    • Agentic Workflows: A lightweight orchestration engine to design, run and monitor workflows across humans, machines and AI. Visual builder, composable logic and full traceability deliver seamless end-to-end automation.

    • AI Agent Builder: Create domain-specific AI agents and embed them into workflows. Develop and govern goal-oriented, tool-equipped AI agents with built-in testing and optional direct integration via the SS&C AI Gateway for safe execution.

    • MCP (Model Context Protocol) Servers: Deploy workflows and connector actions as runtime tools for AI clients, such as LLM-powered agents, to access and retrieve context in real time.

    • Form Builder and Human-in-the-Loop: Maintain human oversight where it matters most. Embed approvals, escalations and manual input using no-code forms and a task management inbox. Use form submissions to trigger automation or agentic workflows from scratch.

    • Automation Studio: Browser-based environment with drag-and-drop process creation, in-context commenting and collaboration, no installation required.

    • Automated Incident Detection & Self-Healing: Digital workers are able to manage themselves with an automated monitoring solution to detect and surface incidents, and automatic resolution of issues including system hangs, process delays and reboots.

    • Control Center: Web-based hub for managing digital workers (separate entitlement) with dynamic allocation, autonomous triggers and safe, conflict-free upgrades. SS&C Blue Prism Assistant: Conversational interface for accessing product help, documentation and SS&C Blue Prism Digital Exchange assets. Also available directly within Microsoft Teams.

    • API and Connector Management: Enables API-first automation via hundreds of prebuilt, secure connectors to common enterprise systems, ensuring fast, secure integration across your enterprise landscape.

    • Process Repository: Centralized, version-controlled storage with stage-gated deployment for governance and auditability.

    Optional Additions:

    • SS&C AI Gateway, our enterprise-grade AI governance framework with role-based access control (RBAC), responsible AI guardrails, risk alerts and audit-ready transparency integrates natively with WorkHQ. When AI agents (SS&C or third party) are deployed it ensures data privacy and protection so that the organization stays compliant.

    • SS&C Blue Prism digital workers can be purchased with or without WorkHQ. WorkHQ digital workers support a hybrid structure that allows customers to enjoy the flexibility, scalability and agility of the cloud whilst keeping their work secure behind a firewall. Organizations benefit from reduced infrastructure overheads, the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, easy scaling, and digital worker upgrades on demand.

For customers who are already Blue Prism Enterprise (7.4 or later), Blue Prism Cloud, or NextGen customers, migrating to WorkHQ enables them to build on and extend their current RPA investment to deliver new enterprise value, by integrating digital workers, people, systems and AI agents into unified workflows, all within a single secure and governed platform.

Efficient Workflow Creation with Some Debugging Issues

    Reviewed on Oct 15, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how effective it is at creating digital workflows, especially when handling large databases. Its intelligent document processing and business process management system really enhance efficiency, which is what I like most about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, there are some debugging issues, and I have noticed latency as well. Additionally, the reporting or turnaround time can be challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We began using SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation primarily to eliminate repetitive manual tasks across several departments, including finance, customer service, and HR. Previously, we spent a significant amount of time on straightforward yet high-volume activities such as verifying data from spreadsheets, updating CRM records, and sending follow-up emails. With Blue Prism, we were able to implement digital workers that now manage these processes in the background with minimal oversight.

    Excellent and innovative RPA solution

    Reviewed on May 22, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Continuously innovating the platform to keep up with Business needs and technology. Ease of implementing new processes that requires integration of multiple applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
We encountered intermittent deadlock issues with runtime resources that was difficult to troubleshoot. It doesn't happen often, but enough to be a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of mundane tasks such as generating/sending reports to internal and external customers, attaching information to SAP, or integrating SAP outputs to other applications. This helps us to free up business hours from our buyers and planners, as well as meeting SLA and quality requirements. More importantly, this is helping us to drive digital transformation.

Examine BLUE PRISM as an automated RPA tool.

    Reviewed on Nov 28, 2024
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The finest features were the automation of monotonous tasks, the capacity to grow up even further, and the easy connection.

It also includes a ton of additional enterprise-level features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if the hefty cost is a drawback or not, but several subjects lack resources, which makes setup challenging at first.

Everything else was useful and wonderful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A major hindrance to the daily timetable was the manual activities. Those were removed with the aid of Blueprisn, and our repetitive duties are now better organized.

Highly capable automation tool with lots of potential

    Reviewed on Nov 08, 2024
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform is its ease of use, and lean towards citizen development. Many alternatives on the market at convoluted, difficult to use, require a lot of hands-on interaction, and struggle to remain modern from a UX perspective. Customers are always impressed when we showcase solutions, built on the Blue Prism platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling can sometimes be clunky and the level of feedback we receive from scheduled tasks isn't always the best. We currently do more manage and monitoring than we expected, but I'm sure this will be solved with Next Gen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is automating mundane, time consuming processes across the busines, which are taking up valuable SME time. It's helping create an audit trail of workflows and requests. It's formed a relationship between IT and the business, which we didn't have before.
