Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
RisingWave Cloud uses a two-part contract model. You pay an Annual Commit fee to access the cloud service for the year. This gives you your baseline subscription. If your usage goes beyond what the annual commitment covers, a separate consumption fee applies for the extra cloud service you use. The consumption fee scales with usage, so it grows as your workload increases past the committed amount. Together, these dimensions let you set a fixed yearly cost while paying more only when you consume additional capacity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What triggers the consumption fee, and is it applied automatically?
The consumption fee applies when your usage goes beyond what the Annual Commit covers. You pay only for the extra cloud service used past your committed amount. This charge accrues automatically as your workload grows — no manual upgrade step. The Annual Commit remains your fixed baseline for the year.
How do the Annual Commit and consumption fee combine on my bill?
Both charges appear together. The Annual Commit is a flat yearly fee for access to the service. The consumption fee is added on top only when usage exceeds that commitment. Steady workloads within the commitment stay predictable; the consumption fee grows with usage above the baseline.
What service does RisingWave Cloud provide that I am paying to access?
You pay to access an event streaming platform. It ingests data from databases, event streams, and webhooks, processes it continuously, and serves fresh query results at low latency. It stores state in object storage and supports standard SQL access. Your fees cover use of this managed cloud service.
