1. Definitions
We can define App Market Share as the percentage (%) of users who have an app installed in relation to the total set of unique users in the sample.
On the other hand, the Banking sector in Spain consists of 29 apps:

2. Product contents
Two files are provided:
- SHARE_ES_01-20_01-21.csv: contains, for each quarter from T1 2020 to T1 2021 (5 quarters in total), the app market share ranking of the most important mobile apps in the Banking sector in Spain (29 apps from Banking Spain)
- SHARE_ES_PROVINCES_01-20_01-21.csv: contains, for each quarter from T1 2020 to T1 2021 (5 quarters in total), the app market share ranking of the most important mobile apps in the Banking sector in Spain (29 apps from Banking Spain) in every spanish province (52 provinces in total).
The data is encoded in the ISO-8859-1 format and have been generated from a representative sample of more than 225,000 unique monthly users on average.
The information only comes from Android devices.
Each field in the files can be defined as follows:

*The field "Province" is only included in the file SHARE_ES_PROVINCES_01-20_01-21.csv while the rest of the fields are included in both the two files.

The information shown in the example means that in the first quarter of 2020 the CaixaBankNow app had a market share in Spain of 18.78%. In other words, 18.78% of the users in the sample chosen for the first quarter had the CaixaBankNow app installed.

The information shown in the example means that in the first quarter of 2020 and in the province of Álava the Kutxabank app had a market share of 22.5%. In other words, 22.5% of the users in the sample which were geolocated in the province of Álava chosen for the first quarter had the Kutxabank app installed.
There may be some records where the penetration of an app is equal to zero in some provinces: the interpretation is that there has not been a sufficiently representative sample of users in the province to obtain a relevant market share value.
