Overview
Odysseus is an open-source, self-hosted AI workspace designed for developers and teams who want the power of modern AI without sending data to third-party clouds. It combines LLM chat (compatible with Ollama, OpenAI, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint), semantic memory via ChromaDB, real-time web search via SearXNG, and a built-in MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, all in one cohesive interface. This AMI ships with everything pre-installed and pre-configured. Launch the instance, create your admin password in your browser, and open the UI. There is nothing to install, no Docker knowledge required, and no external dependencies. All services run locally inside the instance using Docker Compose, managed automatically by systemd. Odysseus is ideal for teams building internal AI tooling, developers experimenting with agents and RAG pipelines, or anyone who needs a private, auditable AI workspace. Because it runs entirely within your AWS account, your conversations, documents, and API keys never leave your infrastructure.
