Overview
EasyPA FHIR-to-HL7 is a stateless, multi-tenant API service for converting modern FHIR R4 data into legacy HL7v2 messages that your downstream lab, billing engine, or on-premises EHR can consume. It handles the reality of reverse interoperability: every downstream system expects HL7 in its own shape, and writing those mappings by hand traditionally takes weeks of consulting time. Our AI-assisted template generator removes that barrier by inferring the mapping from a single sample message.
Paste one HL7 message that your downstream system accepts and our Bedrock-powered generator produces a draft FHIR-to-HL7 mapping template in under thirty seconds. Review, tweak, approve, and every subsequent conversion uses your approved template. Supported message types include ORM, ORU, ADT, MDM, VXU, SIU, RDE, DFT, REF, BAR, and any custom message type you write a template for. Delivery is flexible: return the HL7 in the API response, POST it to a webhook, or send it over raw TCP with standard MLLP framing and ACK parsing for on-premises integration engines.
The service is HIPAA-aligned with SOC 2 Type II in progress, PHI-safe structured logging, bcrypt-hashed per-tenant API keys, and a dedicated VPC with private subnets and flow logs. BAA available for all paid tiers. Self-Serve conversions are priced at $0.012 each with 500 free per month; AI-Assisted conversions at $0.025 each with AI template generation metered separately at $0.10 per draft. MLLP delivery $0.003 per message, webhook delivery $0.002 per message. Enterprise pricing with mTLS, PrivateLink, and dedicated solutions architect onboarding is available on request.

Paste one sample HL7v2 message that your downstream lab, billing engine, or EHR accepts, and our Bedrock-powered generator infers the full FHIR-to-HL7 template. No HL7 expert required, no weeks of consulting time - approve the draft and every subsequent conversion uses your template.
- Flexible delivery to any downstream system: return HL7 in the API response, POST to any webhook endpoint, or send raw TCP with standard MLLP framing and ACK parsing for on-premises integration engines. Supports ORM, ORU, ADT, MDM, VXU, SIU, RDE, DFT, REF, BAR plus any custom message type you write a template for.
- Transparent usage-based pricing billed through AWS Marketplace: $0.012 per Self-Serve conversion or $0.025 for AI-Assisted, with 500 free conversions per month. What we help with: template authoring questions, downstream HL7 dialect troubleshooting, delivery failures (webhook or MLLP), AWS Marketplace billing and subscription questions, API integration guidance, and HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance documentation requests. Customers with on-premises integration engines can send us sample ACK responses and we will help pinpoint schema mismatches.
What we do not support: writing custom downstream system integrations on your behalf, modifying your EHR or LIS configuration, or providing FHIR R4 data modeling advice beyond the scope of the template mapping. For those, we recommend our Enterprise tier which includes dedicated solutions architect time.
Security incidents or suspected PHI exposure: email security@easypa.ai directly - this alias pages the on-call engineer regardless of hour.
