    Deployed on AWS
    AWS Free Tier
Self-host UniFi OS Server on AWS. Full UniFi OS console with Site Manager, IdP & Organizations.

    Overview

This product has charges associated with it for seller support. Deploy UniFi OS Server on AWS in minutes and get the complete UniFi OS management experience self-hosted. UniFi OS Server replaces the legacy self-hosted Network Server and delivers the same platform that runs on Cloud Keys and Cloud Gateways, including Organizations, identity provider (IdP) integration, Site Magic SD-WAN and full Site Manager compatibility for centralised multi-site control. This image ships a hardened base with Podman and all prerequisites staged; on first boot it installs the latest UniFi OS Server release directly from Ubiquiti's official download endpoint.

    Why this matters now

If you self-host UniFi today on the legacy Network Server, Ubiquiti's platform direction is clear: UniFi OS Server is the new standard. It unlocks the UniFi OS features that never came to the old controller multi-tenant Organizations for MSPs, SSO via your identity provider, and Site Magic SD-WAN between sites while remaining free to run on your own infrastructure.

What you get out of the box

    • Hardened base OS with CIS-aligned configuration
    • Podman (v4.3+) and all host prerequisites pre-staged
    • Let's Encrypt certificate import scripting for a trusted HTTPS console
    • Automated backup configuration

    Common use cases

    • MSP multi-tenant management: Organizations support with per-client separation under one console
    • Legacy Network Server migration: move to Ubiquiti's current self-hosting platform
    • Enterprise SSO: integrate the console with your identity provider
    • Multi-site SD-WAN: Site Magic between branches, managed from AWS

    Sizing guidance

Minimum 20 GB disk for the application; recommend 64 GB+ Premium SSD in practice. Up to ~50 devices: t3.large. Production multi-site: t3.xlarge. Large MSP estates: t3.2xlarge.

    AI Insights

     Info

    Dimensions summary

You pay by the hour for the software, billed through your AWS account. The many options here are all EC2 instance types, not feature tiers. Each dimension names a specific instance size, spanning small burstable types like t3.nano and t2.micro up to memory-optimized and metal instances like r6idn.metal. The software itself is the same across every choice. Your hourly rate scales with the compute, memory, and storage of the instance you pick. Choose a larger instance to run more UniFi devices, or a smaller one for light workloads. You stop paying when you stop the instance.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

You pay for the CloudSOE UniFi OS Server software image running on the EC2 instance type you select. The rate covers the packaged, hardened image with the UniFi OS console, network application, device management and updates. AWS charges the underlying compute separately through your account.
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops. Note that AWS may still bill you for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the software licence meters running time only.
The software is identical across every instance type. Larger instances give more compute, memory and storage, letting you manage more UniFi devices. Smaller burstable types suit light workloads. Your hourly cost scales with the instance size you choose, not with a separate device count.
