Waltsoft FishPulse Fishing Conditions and Forecast API

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
    Quick Launch
FishPulse is a fishing conditions API for AI agents and outdoor apps: one call scores fishing quality 0-100 for any GPS location using real-time NOAA weather data, returns species-specific intel for 12 species, a 7-day forecast, and multi-spot comparison. Use it over REST, MCP or A2A.

    Overview

    What FishPulse does

FishPulse answers "should I go fishing today?" with a structured score and conditions data any AI agent or app can reason over.

    • GET /v1/conditions?lat=35.22&lon=-80.84 scores the current fishing conditions 0-100, returning the verdict ("Good -- go fishing"), water temperature, air temperature, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure and trend, tide state, AQI, UV index, species-specific activity ratings for up to 4 active species (largemouth bass, trout, walleye, catfish, and 8 more), and an optimal fishing window.
    • GET /v1/forecast?lat=35.22&lon=-80.84&days=7 returns a 7-day forecast with daily scores, verdicts, and best fishing windows, plus the best day in the range.
    • GET /v1/compare?spots=35.22,-80.84;34.05,-118.24 compares up to 5 GPS locations and ranks them by fishing score.
    • GET /v1/species/{name} returns species temperature preferences, ideal temp, pressure preference, depth range, and notes. Free -- no key required.

    Where the data comes from

Weather data (air temperature, wind speed, direction) comes from the NOAA National Weather Service live API. Water temperature is estimated from air temperature; barometric pressure and tide state are modeled. Fishing score and species intel use a rule-based model tuned to each species' known temperature range, ideal temperature, and pressure preference.

    Three ways to connect

    Who it is for

Fishing guides, charter booking systems, outdoor recreation apps, and AI agents that need a single-call conditions summary. Also useful for kayaking, surfing, and other water activities via the activity parameter.

    Billing

You pay per successful call on your AWS bill. Errors (400, 401, 404, 429, 5xx) are never billed. Rate limit: 50 requests per second, bursts up to 100.

    Highlights

    • Fishing score 0-100 in one call: real-time NOAA weather, species intel for 12 freshwater and saltwater species, optimal window, and tide state for any GPS location
    • 7-day forecast and multi-spot comparison: know the best day to fish and pick the best of up to 5 locations before you drive out
    • Agent-ready: REST with an OpenAPI 3 schema, MCP tool on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway, and A2A agent card; only successful calls billed
