Overview
Peaxy BlueSky Wind Data contains a comprehensive and near-real time digital footprint of wind farms, including theoretical financial profiles and Peaxy Value Score. This data contains calculated estimates for wind energy generation and revenues across 1,565 wind farms in the United States covering approximately 90% of installed base. Peaxy BlueSky Wind data is also available for Canada, Europe and Offshore locations on request. This free sample dataset lists ranking of Top100 wind farms in the Unites States based on Peaxy Value Score.
Peaxy BlueSky Wind determines which wind farms generate the most value by calculating a Peaxy Value Score for each farm. To generate the score, the system looks at real-time wind conditions for each location, applies wind turbine power curves from an extensive model library to estimate power output, and combines this with other information, including ISO region-specific electricity pricing information. The final Peaxy Value Score for each wind farm is based on wind farm revenue estimates for the last 30 days, using real-time wind and electricity pricing data for this period.
The Peaxy Value Score is used to identify the top wind farms in each state and across the U.S. The score allows comparative analyses of wind farms in the same region, highlighting the relative effectiveness of different wind turbine models operating in similar operating conditions.
Use Cases:
Identify the top performers in the U.S., and in each U.S. state. A Peaxy Value Score assigned to each wind farm identifies the top performing wind farms in a state or across the entire U.S.
Does repowering your wind farm make economic sense?
Wind farm owners, investors, insurers, tax regulators, repowering suppliers, wind turbine OEMs can benchmark their wind farms against the highest-ranked farms in the region to investigate whether repowering an existing farm would improve revenues sufficiently to increase their farm’s net present value. How much can you expect a wind farm to earn in the coming days given the current weather forecast and market prices?
Small to mid-size wind farm owners can estimate the short-term revenue potential for a farm in an ideal case, using real-time market pricing and short-term wind forecasts. How much revenue should your wind farm produce over its lifetime, given the local climate and typical energy prices?
Calculate the revenue potential of a wind farm over the lifetime of the project, based on historical weather and energy pricing data.Details
