The eDatX data platform ingests and aggregates data from diverse input sources to provide a manageable, accessible body of data in the cloud from a network of edge devices in a connected vehicle. Data from the connected vehicle need not be an all-or-nothing proposition. eDatX allows OTA-updatable rules for data retention and granularity adjustments. Typical implementations use granularity reductions of more than 99.9% of the data per vehicle on an ongoing basis, turning terrabytes into gigabytes, or gigabytes into megabytes, with full resolution data available for upload based on trigger events or remote prompting. eDatX provides a comprehensive toolset to efficiently gather the right data, in the right amounts, from any number of devices in any number of vehicles. The eDatX Platform is configurable to provide data gathering as a stream or in bulk uploads, on demand or at a specified frequency of intervals or time of the day. Users can perform diagnostics, remotely selecting and gathering diagnostic data from the edge devices of interest in any vehicle with eDatX. eDatX seamlessly integrates with an eSync data pipeline to manage data flow from fleets of deployed vehicles. eDatX offers a secure service-oriented architecture to provide access to data from the many diverse edge devices in a connected vehicle, in order to drive system efficiencies, learning cycles, and data monetization opportunities in automotive and related industrial settings. As a SaaS product, eDatX delivers several distinct advantages and functionalities: Subscription Model: Offered on a subscription basis, eDatX allows manufacturers and suppliers to pay for the service according to their data usage, reducing upfront costs and providing predictable operational expenses. Automatic Updates: The SaaS model ensures that users always have access to the latest features and security updates. Excelfore handles all maintenance, updates, and patches, ensuring the platform remains up-to-date. Scalability: The cloud infrastructure supports horizontal scaling, allowing the platform to handle a growing number of vehicles and devices. This makes it suitable for small-scale and large-scale deployments.
