Overview
SoftEther VPN is not only an alternative VPN server to existing VPN products (OpenVPN, IPsec, and MS-SSTP). SoftEther VPN has also an original strong SSL-VPN protocol to penetrate any kinds of firewalls. Ultra-optimized SSL-VPN Protocol of SoftEther VPN has very fast throughput, low latency, and firewall resistance.
SoftEther VPN has strong resistance against firewalls than ever. Built-in NAT-traversal penetrates your network admin's troublesome firewall for overprotective.
You can set up your own VPN server behind the firewall or NAT in your company, and you can reach that VPN server in the corporate private network from your home or mobile place, without any modification of firewall settings.
Any deep-packet inspection firewalls cannot detect SoftEther VPN's transport packets as a VPN tunnel, because SoftEther VPN uses Ethernet over HTTPS for camouflage.
This specially pre-configured and hardened for AWS Market place Image contains a ready-to-run SoftEther VPN Server. In addition, this version includes the following features:

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. The software price is the same across all instances; your cost scales with the compute size you choose. Options include burstable T2 and T3/T3a instances, from nano and micro up through 2xlarge, for lighter or variable workloads. General-purpose M3, M4, M5, M5a, M5ad, M5d, M5dn, and M5n instances run from large up to 24xlarge and bare-metal sizes for steady or heavier demand. Larger instances offer more CPU and memory at a higher hourly rate. You only pay while instances run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The rate bundles the SoftEther VPN Server software with a chosen EC2 instance. You pay per hour the instance runs. The software portion stays the same across instance types; only the compute size changes the rate. Larger instances add CPU and memory for more concurrent VPN connections.
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance stops the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage for the stopped volume may still apply, but the software meters running hours only.
Burstable T2, T3, and T3a instances suit light or variable usage with occasional peaks. General-purpose M-series instances suit steady traffic and more concurrent users. The Advanced version includes a doubled DHCP pool, so larger instances support more simultaneous connections at a higher hourly rate.
