What do you like best about the product?

I use Donovan to quickly search and analyze large collections of documents, pulling out relevant insights and generating summaries or reports without manually going through everything. I especially like the natural-language interface and AI agents for building mission-specific workflows. The fact that responses can be grounded in connected knowledge bases with citations makes the AI much more useful for serious analysis. What I like most is how easily Donovan lets me work with large knowledge bases using natural-language questions instead of manually searching through documents. The RAG-based responses with citations make the AI much more trustworthy and useful, and the ability to choose models and build specialized assistants adds flexibility. The knowledge bases are valuable because I can bring together documents and data from different sources and then ask questions in plain language. I also like being able to use specialized assistants for different workflows. It was very easy to set up.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main area I'd improve is the overall learning curve around configuring knowledge bases, assistants, and models. There's a lot of flexibility, but new users may need some time to understand how everything fits together. I'd also like more granular controls for tuning retrieval and making it easier to diagnose when an AI response isn't using the most relevant source. An interactive onboarding flow with sample data, guided prompts, and clearer explanations of retrieval and model settings would make the first experience much easier. In addition, more in-product guidance for troubleshooting when a response doesn't retrieve the expected source would help users understand whether the issue is with their data, configuration, or prompt.
