AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. Pricing is tied to the AWS Graviton (arm64) EC2 instance type you choose. The options span general-purpose (m-family, t4g), compute-optimized (c-family), memory-optimized (r-family, x-family), storage-optimized (i-family, im4gn, is4gen), HPC (hpc7g), and GPU (g5g) instances. Within each family, hourly rates scale with instance size, from small (medium, large) up to bare-metal and 48xlarge configurations. Larger instances with more vCPUs and memory carry higher hourly rates. The software fee applies on top of the underlying EC2 infrastructure cost.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billing unit cover, and is licensing metered per node or per GPU?
You pay per running instance-hour for each EC2 instance you launch. The subscription is licensed per node, not per GPU. On GPU instance families like g5g, one running instance counts as one node regardless of how many accelerators it holds.
Am I charged the hourly software fee when an instance is stopped or paused?
The software fee meters running instance-hours only. When you stop an instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this listing's software charge.
What drives my cost as I add instances or move to larger sizes?
Two things drive cost: how many instances run and which size each is. Rates scale with instance size within a family, so larger vCPU and memory configurations carry higher hourly rates. Running more instances multiplies the per-hour charge across all active nodes.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
