You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run this software on. The Enterprise Edition license covers 10 administrators and 25 keys. Pricing scales with compute size: smaller instances like t3.micro, t3.medium, and t3.large cost less per hour, while larger instances carry higher hourly rates. Your total cost depends on which instance you choose and how many hours you run it. There are no upfront commitments; you are billed only for usage. Choose an instance sized to match your workload and administrator count.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the license cover for administrators and keys, regardless of the instance I choose?
The Enterprise Edition license covers 10 administrators and 25 keys. This entitlement stays the same across every instance type. Choosing a larger instance adds compute capacity, not more administrators or keys. If you need coverage for more administrators, you would request a different quote from the vendor.
Am I charged when the EC2 instance is stopped or powered off?
The software meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from the software license charge shown here.
If I move to a larger instance type, how does my hourly charge change?
You pay the hourly rate tied to whichever instance type currently runs the software. Switching from a smaller instance like t3.micro to a larger one changes your rate for the hours you run the larger instance. The change applies when you launch the new instance, not automatically.
