You pay only for what you use, billed hourly across eight independent metering options. Each option meters a different resource type. Application and Database monitoring bill per vCPU (CPU core). Server and Database Hosts bill per virtual machine. Kubernetes offers two separate meters: standard Containers and Application Containers, which add coverage when application monitoring runs inside a container. Log monitoring bills per 25,000 ingested logs, so cost scales with log volume and retention. Browser monitoring bills per session. You can combine any options to match your environment, and each meter scales with your actual usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A standard container is any container running in your cluster. An Application Container is a container where application monitoring (APM) is applied to the running application. When you enable APM inside a container, that container meters separately as an Application Container, so both charges can apply to the same workload.
You are billed per 25,000 ingested logs each hour. Cost scales with both daily log volume and how long you keep the data. Longer retention multiplies the charge, since each retained day adds to the metered amount. You can select retention up to 40 days.
A session covers the period from page entry to page exit, lasting up to four hours. If there is no interaction with the web page for 15 minutes, the session ends. A visit after that counts as a new session. You are billed per session.
