AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this product running on a t3.medium instance. Billing is usage-based, so charges accrue for each hour the software runs. There is one pricing dimension tied to that instance size, with no separate tiers or add-ons. This edition supports up to 250 connections for integrating online document editing into your web app. Your total cost scales with how long you keep the instance running.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the 250-connection limit mean for how I use this edition?
Connections are the simultaneous document sessions your users open through the editor. This edition supports up to 250 at once. Each user editing or viewing a document counts toward that limit while their session is active. The connection cap is fixed and does not change with instance runtime.
Am I charged when the t3.medium instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. Hourly billing meters running time, so a fully stopped instance does not accrue software fees. Note that stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage charges for attached volumes, billed separately from the software.
What resource specification do I get with this hourly plan?
You get the software running on a single t3.medium EC2 instance. That is a general-purpose instance size. Your hourly rate covers this fixed instance type. Document processing happens on the client side, so no user data is stored on the vendor server.

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise involves integrating it with web applications for government or financial systems, which provides features like Word editing, Excel, and other office-like tools. This proves to be very handy for this purpose.
For government applications, I utilized ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise more in enterprise-level applications. I integrated it within the web application by using its API JS files, or there are some integration options available. With SharePoint, you can do integration, and Jira and other tools also offer integration capabilities.
I also utilized ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise with JWT-based authentication and JavaScript API where I connected the application by providing necessary settings. This proved to be very helpful for my workflow.
How has it helped my organization?
ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise has improved my organization significantly.
What is most valuable?
The best features ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise offers are its self-hosted deployment and the fact that the data which I am working on never leaves my infrastructure. It features JWT-based authentication, supports TLS, and data in transit is also secure. These are the best features I appreciate the most about it because when I use some other tools rather than my on-premises application, these types of tools are very trustworthy.
These security features in ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise impact my work significantly because when I deal with critical systems, I need a strong secure mechanism so that no other entity or attacker can attack the site and manipulate the data in between. Features such as JWT authentication, where I identify which user is trying to access the data or the document, directly help me verify whether the document is related to this particular user or not.
Collaboration with ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise is real-time, allowing me to work on real-time data. When I work, multiple people can work on the same documents simultaneously. It operates in real-time where I can put real-time comments that are directly visible to the other users or other teammates. Version history is also a good feature where I can see the versions of the document.
ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise has positively impacted my organization by reducing the processing time, which it usually takes with other tools, by 20% to 40% through its real-time data fetching and collaboration, making it easier for my team as well.
What needs improvement?
Regarding how ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise can be improved, I feel that the initial deployment is a bit more complex than a cloud ONLYOFFICE suite. Some enterprise capabilities also require paid additions, and licensing is based on simultaneous editing connections, so capacity planning is important. Additionally, some users feel it is a less polished version than when using MS Word-like tools, so the UI part could be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise for the last four to five months, as it was required in one of my projects to be delivered to a client where I utilized ONLYOFFICE.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise is that if a user or a team needs a tool that they can integrate into any kind of website or other types of tools, they should go for ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise because it is secure in nature. Its authentication mechanism is good and it is reliable; I have hardly faced any kind of downtime with it, so they can definitely use these types of tools.
The main reason I rate ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise a nine specifically is that there is some room for the UI/UX part to be improved. All other features such as strong collaboration, enterprise integration, and self-hosting are amazing, so I have given a nine.
The governance and security capabilities of ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise are very much secure because it operates on on-premises infrastructure. I can host it on my infrastructure, and when running this software, it is directly my responsibility how I will manage and deal with the data. ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise does not control my data or see or gather any type of data from my end, which is good.
The accuracy and reliability of output in ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise are strong as it supports multiple AI providers and AI deployment, which is valuable for organizations when I am dealing with different types of clients. These are the requirements that are directly more impactful to the client, and when clients require these types of capabilities, I definitely use them. I rate ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise a nine out of ten.

Collaborative editing has reduced costs and now needs richer features and better compatibility
Reviewed on Jun 29, 2026
Review provided by PeerSpot
What is our primary use case?
ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise serves as my corporate platform for collaborative editing of documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The solution is integrated into the internal storage environment and allows different teams to work on documents without depending on public cloud services. We also use it to replace part of Microsoft Office in departments that need collaboration on documents, enabling us to host these documents in our own infrastructure.
A quick and specific example of how collaborative editing has impacted the work of our teams is that it is a key feature since nowadays we have different employees in the departments, and it can happen that one employee starts developing an Excel spreadsheet in the finance department, while another member of the same team needs to access this spreadsheet to make edits, additions, and adjustments. This is essential nowadays.
What is most valuable?
The best features that ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise offers me and my team are the creation and editing of spreadsheets, documents, and presentations, which is fundamentally what any office currently needs.
Regarding features, I consider the cost issue a significant differentiator since we have a relatively very low cost compared to other solutions such as Microsoft 365, and we do not need to spend such a high amount as what Microsoft offers.
ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise has positively impacted my organization, certainly on the cost side, and the users' adaptation was also relatively smooth. We did not experience major impacts on operations, meaning we did not have significant problems with installation, and the adaptation of users and the training required to use the tool effectively were all handled well. These were really good points.
I can share concrete results, such as that the users' adaptation time was an excellent factor, and we achieved cost reduction with Microsoft 365 licenses as well, allowing us to work with spreadsheets, documents, and presentations locally on users' machines. I see only advantages there; it has had a very positive impact on operations, with cost reduction, and the familiarity that users developed with this tool met our expectations.
What needs improvement?
One of the points for improvement for ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise needs to be more integrations with corporate solutions, as well as more advanced features in spreadsheets and documents because we are limited to some of the features it offers compared to other corporate solutions such as Office 365. Better compatibility with Microsoft Office documents is also necessary, and I also believe that improvements in the usage reporting part are needed.
Regarding necessary improvements, I previously mentioned that perhaps the interface could bring more features, and there should be a real focus on increased functionality and integration with other types of documents, such as docx, ensuring greater compatibility as other players have.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise for more than two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise is indeed stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise in my environment is very good. I have no problems regarding scalability; it is possible to increase resources, so it meets and can handle the growing number of users.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously used Microsoft 365 in some departments, and other departments used it as well. We are also conducting some early-stage tests with WPS Office with licensing and have ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise deployed in other departments, assessing what will best meet our needs at the best possible cost.
What was our ROI?
We have indeed obtained return on investment, having experienced a significant reduction compared to Microsoft Office 365 and even other solutions such as WPS Office, which also have somewhat high costs. With ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise, we were able to drastically reduce expenses, so I would say the only current costs we face are for training and the challenges related to compatibility with documents from Microsoft's Office suite. Overall, it is meeting our needs, and we are using it in some specific, strategic areas, generating results in cost reduction.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing has been great; we were able to complete this deployment without incurring associated costs since we are using it locally.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise, I evaluated other options, including Microsoft Office 365, WPS Office, and Google Docs, but we wanted a local solution.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others considering using ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise is that if the objective is truly cost reduction or if it is a new company that is starting out and does not want to spend a lot of resources, I believe it is a very good solution. I would rate this review as a seven out of ten.
