Focus on developer-friendliness: oak9 integrates seamlessly into existing development workflows, avoiding friction between security and development teams.

Limited scope: While strong in IaC security, it might not cover all aspects of cloud security needs.

The Oak9 platform is easy to use even for Developers / DevOps guys who lack knowledge in that area.

Instead of hiring specialists with a vast knowledge of cloud security, a small company can deal with a wide range of vulnerabilities.

What do you like best about the product?
Oak9 integrates quickly with our IaaC repositories and provides fast analysis so that we can run routinely to have visibility in the current control posture of our cloud workloads. Drift from our desired state is identified and reporting integrates into our defect systems to drive workflow. Remedial configurations and impacts are clear and help drive fast resolution to design gaps. Our compliance teams can quickly generate reports on compliance for our external auditors with Oak9. This platform saves Avant hours across our build and audit routines on a regular basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
We occasionally have to reconcile control design gaps with our implementation across layers of cloud infrastructure. This is a complex problem but Oak9 is very quick to collaborate and release updates. Some of the deep UI is clunky but getting better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring and testing control configurations in cloud infrastructure is tedious and can be time-consuming. Oak9 demystifies this for our DevOps and makes validating Compliance easy for our risk teams.

What do you like best about the product?
The value of oak9 is the combination of automation and intelligent blueprints which allows our security team to select the standards and apply them across our entire organization. This ensures a precise DevSecOps pipeline allowing dev teams to move with the same product release velocity without adding head count. Secondly, remediations are suggested on the fly for dev teams making this a smooth experience for cross communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have dynamic dashboard by adding various filters on the different view panes which would create a rich user experience

Staying compliant in a cloud agnostic architecture without slowing down developers has always been a challenge! Oak9 provides a great saas product with many integrations along with a cli binary that provides design gap feedback to devs allowing them to shift left while keeping a good security posture. Secondly, the product allows cross communication between dev and security teams resulting in less churn back and forth.
