You pay by the hour for this hardened Oracle Linux 9 image running on ARM64 (Graviton) instances. There are no tiers or plans. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS Graviton instance type, from small sizes like t4g.nano up to large and bare-metal options like m7g.metal. Your rate depends on the instance type you launch and how many hours it runs. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly rates. This software fee applies on top of the separate AWS infrastructure charge for the instance.

The software fee meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Note that AWS may still bill separate storage fees for stopped instances, but the image licence charges only while the instance runs.

How to connect to the VM:
To connect to your instance, the use of SSH via port 22 is necessary. The default username for establishing this connection is ec2-user. Hardening Notice and Assistance
This image comes pre-configured with Hardened compliance already integrated. However, it's worth noting that the use of a hardened system could call for certain adaptations. The advanced security measures might restrict some functionalities or require additional actions for certain operations due to its hardened nature. Should any issues arise, we recommend reaching out to the software provider for further assistance.
