    Grafana Kubernetes Monitoring is an out-of-the-box solution that promptly detects infrastructure issues, optimizes costs & efficiency, predicts resource usage, automates incident management, and adapts to your specific services. It provides:

    1. Full visibility, from Kubernetes clusters to Kubernetes pods to quickly move throughout your Kubernetes setup in a single UI. Start with a cluster view and drill all the way down to specific Kubernetes pods with just a few clicks.
    2. Instant Prometheus-correlated logs. Prometheus and Grafana Loki shared metadata keeps the exact same labels for your Kubernetes cluster, so accessing correlated Kubernetes metrics and logs couldnt be easier.
    3. Better insight into your resource usage. You can dial in on cloud resource usage to optimize efficiency, discover unused and stranded resources, easily determine better pod limits and improved placement, understand your resource management policy imperfections, and decrease your carbon footprint

    What do you like best about the product?
    Grafana has been a great platform for observability and monitoring. The UI/UX is intuitive and flexible, making it easy to build dashboards that cater to both technical and non-technical users. The dashboard customization capabilities are particularly strong, allowing teams to visualize data in meaningful ways.

    One of Grafana's biggest strengths is its integrations. The platform connects seamlessly with a wide range of data sources and monitoring tools, enabling a unified view of system health and performance across complex environments.

    From a performance perspective, Grafana handles large volumes of metrics and logs efficiently, providing fast dashboard loading times and responsive user interactions even at scale.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The main drawbacks are the learning curve for new users, the occasional complexity involved in configuring integrations and alerting, and the fact that advanced enterprise features can be costly. In addition, large and highly complex dashboards may require some tuning to achieve optimal performance.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Grafana Labs helps me solve observability and monitoring challenges by bringing metrics, logs, and traces together in a single, unified platform. For me, this means clearer visibility into my systems, faster troubleshooting when issues come up, improved operational efficiency, and the ability to make informed decisions using real-time data. Overall, it leads to more reliable services and a better experience for both teams and customers.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Grafana Labs integrates well with our public cloud infrastructure, and since it’s an open-source tool, many enterprise observability use cases can be addressed with it. I also love the support and how user-friendly the application is overall.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Not all of my use cases can be integrated into this application, such as application monitoring within an application (database plane). A few use cases are very difficult to integrate and remain challenging to work on in this application.

    Does everything we need, once you get past the query language

    What do you like best about the product?
    It connects to pretty much anything. We pointed it at Prometheus on day one and it just worked, and adding other sources later was the same story, add the data source and start querying. No glue code or exporters written just to get a number on a screen. The free tier on Grafana Cloud is also genuinely usable rather than a crippled trial. Team of about 30 and we haven't paid anything yet, and we still get hosted dashboards we don't have to babysit. The community dashboards are underrated too. Half our node monitoring started life as an imported dashboard ID that we then tweaked, which mattered a lot because none of us do monitoring full time.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The learning curve is the real one. Grafana itself looks friendly but the moment you want a panel that isn't in a template you're writing PromQL, and rate vs increase, which thing to sum by, why your graph is suddenly flat, all of that took us weeks to stop getting wrong. The query builder helps a bit but you still hit a point where you have to drop into the raw query and understand it. I ended up being the person who knew it, which is not great, because now everyone comes to me instead of building their own panels. Honestly some guided 'here is how you build a latency panel from scratch' flow inside the product would have saved us a lot of googling. The docs are thorough but they assume you already know the concepts.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Before Grafana we found out about problems from users, which is the worst way to find out. It was SSH into a box, run top, guess. Now there's one dashboard up on a screen and if latency starts creeping or a disk is filling up we see it in the graph first. It also settles arguments. When someone says the app felt slow at 3pm, we pull up that hour instead of debating it.

    What do you like best about the product?
    my biggest daily challenge is log fragmentation. Grafana acts as the ultimate single pane of glass for our security operations. We route our SIEM alerts, network flows, and system logs into it, allowing me to build custom dashboards that track failed login spikes and abnormal database queries. I frequently simulate adversarial attacks using Kali Linux utilities from a local VirtualBox environment to test our defensive posture. Seeing exactly how and when those simulated brute-force attempts or Tor-based IP rotations populate on my Grafana panels gives me immense confidence in our detection capabilities. It also connects perfectly to the Python Flask and MySQL backends we monitor, letting me correlate application-layer latency directly with ongoing security events or DDoS mitigation. The open-source plugin ecosystem is fantastic, meaning we can connect almost any data source without writing custom middleware.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Building highly specific security panels from scratch requires a deep understanding of query languages like PromQL or LogQL, which can be a brutal learning curve for junior analysts. When you just want to set up a quick graph to track 403 Forbidden errors across an API, you often have to write surprisingly complex syntax. Furthermore, managing role-based access control (RBAC) so that different teams can view but not accidentally edit shared SOC dashboards requires a lot of manual administrative overhead.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    It completely cures the "swivel-chair analysis" problem. During an active incident, I don’t have to SSH into a compromised server, check a separate firewall portal, and then look at database query logs in three different windows. Everything is visualized on one unified timeline. By centralizing our threat intelligence and operational metrics into one interactive grid, it drastically reduces our mean time to detect (MTTD) and allows the team to triage security events much faster.

    What do you like best about the product?
    The UI and UX are very good, and it integrates easily into our projects. The performance monitoring is also really solid. The free tier is good enough for student projects, and the AI search feature is useful as well. I was able to get support for my problems and the onboarding is smooth too.

    Tier plans can be generous, and also increase the limits of free tier.

    It solves the problem of observability when our project has lot of variables.
