    What is our primary use case?

    My company's clients use Plixer Scrutinizer for network monitoring elements, like CPE, and for a bit of network inventory management.

    What is most valuable?

    Plixer Core Platform is a valuable feature and a good software. Plixer Scrutinizer uses NetFlow analysis to monitor whatever is there in a network. Price-wise, Plixer Scrutinizer is not an expensive product. Basically, Plixer Scrutinizer is an affordable product. Plixer Scrutinizer is a tool that allows for customization, especially in scenarios where customers need new product features.

    Plixer Scrutinizer is a tool that can integrate with any other brand or product in the market, so it is not an area of concern.

    What needs improvement?

    I don't have deep enough knowledge to comment on what requires improvements in Plixer Scrutinizer.

    In Plixer Scrutinizer, scalability is an area with minor concerns where improvements are required.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    I have been using Plixer Scrutinizer for four months. My company operates as a distributor for Plixer Scrutinizer in the Indonesian market. I use the solution's latest version.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    I would describe Plixer Scrutinizer as a solution offering a medium stability level.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Custom dashboards and reports make a single pane of glass type view for troubleshooting network congestion using netflow. The ability to click on most anything to drill down into details and add filters makes this product a joy to work with.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    There is a bit of a learning curve. It isn't straight forward out of the box and the linux platform does take some cli know how to manage the system.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Determining the cause of network congestion -- after receiving alerts for high interface utilization, one click to scrutinizer is all we need to find the culprit.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Scrutinizer is able to collect flows from multitude of network devices, we use it for netflow from our RIverbed, Gigamon and Cisco Devices. Its able to provide detailed reports and amazing data, based on the information that it receives
    What do you dislike about the product?
    If you are getting an appliance, you wont have full access to it. Over all great product, but reporting could use some polishing and advance features.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Great troubleshooting tool. We use it daily for troubleshooting and analytics.
    Recommendations to others considering the product:
    Appliance is great for enterprise grade networks, but beware you will not own the appliance and any upgrades and such will need to done by support.

    Virtual Appliance is handicapped compared to physical hardware.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    It's useful for tracking protocol usage and traffic volumes.
    Recommendations to others considering the product:
    If you purchase, go with the Hardware Appliance. It's much more flexible than the VM for capturing traffic.
