Overview
Migrating on-premises databases to the cloud and adopting open source databases has accelerated as organizations accelerate their modernization journey and become more data-driven. But current DBaaS services offered by cloud providers cause organizations to pay higher costs, provide minimal management and control of data, and do not offer flexible data consumption models for data sharing. Tessell addresses the complex data needs of individuals and organizations alike by providing a consumer-grade, high-performing, database-as-a-service platform that utilizes a multi-cloud approach to help you manage your data any way you like.
Tessell brings to you a complete suite of apps to manage your databases holistically! It has two service plans to offer.

- Create subscriptions by bringing your own cloud accounts (BYOA) to Tessell.
- Enjoy the same level of fully-managed database service while hosting the VMs in your infrastructure.
- Bring your own Networks
- Register VPCs and subnets from your subscriptions, managing the corresponding cloud accounts.
- Take full control of your security policies by attaching relevant firewall rules to your registered networks.
- IAM of your choice
- Integrate with Identity providers like Okta, Active Directory, Google, etc.
- Create custom personas for more granular control over who can access which apps.
- New App: Compute
- Curate compute shapes by disabling the ones that don't apply to your organization.

Pricing
Pricing is based on contract duration. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for any usage exceeds the entitle amount or not covered in the contract. These charges will be applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to your entitlements will expire.

What do you like best about the product?
Tessell offers managed Oracle database service in Azure. Azure does not have managed PaaS based offerings. We leverage Tessell platform for customer hosting azure environments which minimized the operational and infrastructure overhead extensively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tessell usually does not offer on-demand pricing for longer run. From functionality and capabilities perspective, Tessell offers various features that minimize our day to day infra maintenance
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We leverage tessell as managed oracle database service. Tessell's high availability and disaster recovery features ensure that your databases are always up and running, minimizing downtime and potential data loss.

What do you like best about the product?
Tessell has good UI which is helpful to manage databses of all engines and it provides features like automated backups, performance insights, monitoring metrcis and tessels 24*7 active support team

With the great features and active support it has a associated cost
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Priviously our databases are running on virtual machines and some are running on data center servers, it was so hard to manage and maintain this databases there version and underlying hardware, tessell is managing it on backuend by there own additionally there team helped us to migrate our databases to tessell without any data loss

What do you like best about the product?
Tessell provided us the platform to scale up while at the same time reducing our data hosting costs. We scaled from collecting data from 100 vehicles with 100 sensors every 2 seconds, to 500 vehicles with 200 sensors every 2 seconds, all while reducing our hosting cost by 50%! We now have over 10 TB of data, all cost effectively serviced and ready to continue scaling. Tessell provided all of the integration and implementation, making it very easy and fast.

Providing us cost-effective scaling.
