What counts as a gigabyte scanned for the Amazon S3 and FSx for NetApp dimensions?
You pay per gigabyte of data the service actually scans in your storage. Cost tracks the volume examined, not the total size of your buckets or array. As your scanned data grows, your cost rises at the per-gigabyte rate. Each storage dimension carries its own yearly minimum spend.
How does the yearly minimum affect my bill if I scan very little data?
Each storage dimension has an annual minimum spend of $50,000. If your scanned volume at the per-gigabyte rate falls below that floor, you still pay the minimum. Once your scanning exceeds the floor, cost grows with the volume of data scanned.
How does the DSX Companion (DIANNA) dimension differ from the two storage-scanning dimensions?
The two storage dimensions meter data scanned per gigabyte with a fixed published rate. DSX Companion (DIANNA) is metered by queries per year, and its rate is not published. You contact the vendor for a private offer. All three bill independently and can appear together on your invoice.
