    Additional details

    Usage instructions

Connect to the instance via VNC or RDP:

RDP (Recommended): use your favorite RDP client (connect to the TCP port 3389). The user name is ubuntu and the password is the first 8 characters of the Instance Id after the dash (Ex: for the instance id i-1a2b3c4d5e6f7g8h9 , the password would be 1a2b3c4d)

VNC: use your favorite VNC client (connect to the TCP port 5901). The password is the first 8 characters of the Instance Id after the dash (Ex: for the instance id i-1a2b3c4d5e6f7g8h9 , the password would be 1a2b3c4d)

Ps: We recommend the usage of only one method of remote access (RDP or VNC), mixing both can cause issues.

A Little Slow but it Works

    Reviewed on Aug 19, 2021

A little slow performance-wise and you will DEFINITELY need to add more storage space as it only comes with 8GB. Other than that it works with the GUI out of the box like they said it would. I used RDP with no real issues. But there was an annoying UBUNTU "color manager" popup that triggers when the session auto locks. It asks for a password but when you supply it, it won't go away. It just stays there taking up real estate on the screen.

Tricky login screen but okay after that

The initial login screen doesn't have an option for the port. Selecting a different option from the first dropdown, I could change the port then went back to the first option and filled the username password and got in.

    Password doesn't work.

After following these usage instructions for RDP with the first 8 digits of my instance id as a password it didn't work at all. Looking for a different solution in Arara Solutions I notice that guides folder is empty (http://arara.solutions/guides ).

This the only message that I get through GUI.
