Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for Anolis OS 8 (Hardened), billed per running instance. Pricing is not tiered or feature-based. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, and the hourly software rate is set per instance type. Smaller instances carry lower hourly rates, while larger compute, memory, storage, and accelerated instances carry higher rates. You choose the instance type that fits your workload size and performance needs. The software charge is separate from and added to standard AWS infrastructure costs. Your total cost scales with how many instances you run and for how long.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select, charged per hour. The hourly software rate attaches to that specific instance type. Each instance you launch meters its own hours separately. Running more instances or larger types raises your total software charge.
The software fee meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance accrues no software charge. Underlying AWS storage or other infrastructure fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but those are separate from this software rate.
The software rate is added on top of standard AWS costs for the chosen instance type. Both appear on the same AWS bill. Your instance-type selection drives the software rate, while AWS sets the underlying compute charge. Total cost is the sum of both, multiplied by hours run.
