Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this hardened operating system with a bundled security agent. Pricing is tied to the AWS EC2 instance type you launch, not to separate software tiers. Each dimension maps to one instance size, from small shared instances up to large metal and high-memory machines. The hourly software rate scales with the instance you pick, so a larger instance carries a higher rate. You choose the instance that fits your compute, memory, storage, or GPU needs. There is no upfront commitment; charges accrue only while an instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you launch, billed per hour. The hourly software rate covers the hardened operating system and its bundled security agent on that instance. Every instance you run meters separately, so two instances of the same type accrue two hourly charges.
The software rate meters only while an instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges. Underlying AWS resources like attached storage may still incur AWS fees, but the hardened OS and security agent charge applies to running time only.
The software rate is tied to the instance type you launch. Moving to a different type applies that type's hourly rate from the moment the new instance runs. The change is not automatic; you launch or resize the instance yourself, and billing follows the running instance.

Usage instructions
Once the instance is running, connect to it using a Secure Shell (SSH) client with the configured SSH key. The default username is 'anolis'.
OS commands via SSH: SSH as user 'anolis' to the running instance and use sudo to run commands requiring root access.
