You pay by the hour for a hardened Amazon Linux 2023 image running on AWS ARM-based (Graviton) instances. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you choose. The image itself is the same across all options; only the underlying compute size and family change. General-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, and storage-optimized instance families are available, ranging from small sizes up to metal instances. Larger instances cost more per hour. You only pay while an instance runs, with no long-term commitment.

One unit is one hour of a single running instance. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type and size. You are billed for the hours each instance runs. Running two instances doubles the hourly software charge. The image installed is the same across every instance type.
The hourly software charge applies only while an instance runs. Stopped instances do not accrue this software fee. You may still owe underlying AWS fees, such as storage for attached volumes, but the software meter counts running time only.
You receive a hardened Amazon Linux 2023 image on an ARM-based (Graviton) instance. The image is configured to reduce system vulnerabilities using recognized security standards. The instance type you pick sets your compute, memory, and storage capacity, which determines the hourly rate.
