A brain hemorrhage, also known as a hemorrhagic stroke, occurs when a blood vessel in the brain bursts and bleeds. This can happen inside the brain intracerebral hemorrhage or in the space between the brain and the membranes that cover it subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Immediate treatment for hemorrhagic stroke is essential. Emergency treatment focuses on controlling bleeding and reducing pressure in the brain. This can involve repairing affected blood vessels or sealing an aneurysm.
Overview
Datasets include: CT Head/Brain studies of multiple different stroke types. Stroke types include Subarachnoid, Subdural, Lacunar, Epidural, Intraparynchemal, Intraventricular, Edema, Acutte, Chronic and Normal brain tissue. There are two main types of strokes, Ischemic stroke which is caused by a blockage in a blood vessel in the brain, typically due to a blood clot or plaque buildup. The hemorrhagic stroke is caused by a ruptured blood vessel in the brain, leading to bleeding into the brain tissue. Major CT vendors such as GE, Toshiba, Philips, and Siemens were utilized in these datasets.
