InfluxDB on AWS - Self-Hosted Database Service with Websoft9 Console
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you choose to run InfluxDB with the Websoft9 console. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance size, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, and storage capacity of the machine you select. Options range from small general-purpose instances to memory-optimized, compute-optimized, storage-optimized, and GPU-based instances. You are billed only for the hours your chosen instance runs. The software itself deploys onto a single EC2 instance, and your hourly rate reflects the underlying instance family and size you pick.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and what is separate?
Your hourly rate reflects the software running on the EC2 instance type you pick. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance size with its own compute, memory, and storage profile. Underlying AWS infrastructure charges bill separately through your AWS account.
Am I charged when my InfluxDB instance is stopped?
The software meters running time only. When your EC2 instance is fully powered off, hourly software charges stop. Stopped instances may still accrue underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, billed separately by AWS, but the software licence charges only running hours.
Can I move InfluxDB to a different instance type if my needs change?
InfluxDB deploys onto a single EC2 instance you select at launch. Since pricing scales with instance family and size, moving to another instance type changes your hourly rate to match the new machine. You manage the deployment through the Websoft9 console.
