Try this product free for 30 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for NGINX Plus Standard running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Pricing is usage-based, with no upfront commitment. Each dimension maps to a specific Amazon EC2 instance type, from small shared instances like t3.micro to large memory, compute, storage, GPU, and bare-metal instances. The hourly rate scales with the size and capability of the instance you choose. You select the instance that fits your workload, and larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. The software runs the same across all instance types; only the underlying compute capacity differs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what runs on that EC2 instance?
Each dimension bills per hour for one Amazon EC2 instance of the named type running NGINX Plus Standard. The instance provides the CPU, memory, and storage. The software adds load balancing, reverse proxy, API gateway, caching, and traffic control on top of that compute.
Am I charged when my EC2 instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. Stopped or paused instances do not accrue NGINX Plus charges. You may still pay separate AWS fees for attached storage on a stopped instance, but that is billed by AWS, not by this software license.
Does a larger instance type give me more NGINX Plus features?
No. NGINX Plus Standard runs identically across every instance type. Only the underlying compute capacity changes. Larger, GPU, storage, or bare-metal instances carry higher hourly rates because they provide more resources, not because they unlock added software capabilities.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
When a new AMI is deployed for the first time, the latest version of NGINX Plus will be installed, auto-configured and started. NGINX Plus status can then be checked by running: service nginx status, and the NGINX Plus default index page will be accessible on public EC2 instance address. Please use SSH to access your instance for management purposes with the following usernames, for Ubuntu: "ubuntu", CentOS: "centos", Amazon Linux/RHEL: "ec2-user", Debian: "admin". NGINX Plus configuration can be found in /etc/nginx and the documentation is available at https://docs.nginx.com/nginx/.
The Standard edition includes business hour access (9am-5pm, customer time zone) email and phone support for an unlimited number of incidents. SLA within 30 minutes for urgent Severity 1 requests, 24 hours response for low Severity requests. Documentation questions answered within 24 hours.
