AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Rocky Linux 9 image on ARM64 (Graviton) instances. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each hourly rate maps to a specific AWS instance type you choose. The many options cover instance families for general purpose, compute, memory, and storage-focused workloads. Rates scale with instance size, from medium up through metal sizes. You pick the instance that fits your workload, and the software fee is charged per running hour on top of AWS infrastructure charges. The vendor's software fee is added to standard AWS compute costs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged the hourly software fee when my instance is stopped?
The software fee meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume. Charges resume when you start the instance again. Each running hour on the chosen instance type bills at that type's listed rate.
What does the hourly rate cover, and what does my team still own?
The fee covers a hardened Rocky Linux 9 image built around PCI DSS operating-system requirements, patched monthly, with US-based support. Your team still owns PCI scope, application security, cloud architecture, identity, networking, logging, evidence retention, and assessor validation. The image addresses only the operating-system layer.
How is the hourly rate determined across the many instance options?
There is one software fee model: pay per running hour. Each listed instance type carries its own hourly rate, generally rising with instance size and resources. You pick the ARM64 (Graviton) instance that fits your workload. The software fee is added on top of standard AWS compute and infrastructure charges.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Hardening Notice and Assistance
This image comes pre-configured with Hardened compliance already integrated. However, it's worth noting that the use of a hardened system could call for certain adaptations. The advanced security measures might restrict some functionalities or require additional actions for certain operations due to its hardened nature. Should any issues arise, we recommend reaching out to the software provider for further assistance.
