Smaller instances like c7a.medium, t3a.medium, and m3.medium carry lower hourly rates. Larger instances such as m4.16xlarge, m4.10xlarge, and t3.2xlarge cost more per hour to match added CPU and memory. All dimensions deliver the same managed Supabase deployment with security scans, a control dashboard, and 24/7 support. Choose the instance that fits your workload, and your bill reflects hours used at that instance's rate.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of that type. The hourly rate covers the managed Supabase deployment on that instance, including continuous security scans, a control dashboard, and 24/7 support. You pay for each hour the instance runs at its listed rate.
The software charges meter running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
You choose one instance dimension at launch, and billing follows that instance's hourly rate. Moving to a larger instance means changing your selected instance type, not an automatic upgrade. Your bill then reflects hours run at the new instance's rate.

Usage instructions
Our basic recomendation is to use provided security rules at least for deployment phase until successful app access. After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). Default credentials should be username admin and password is your instance's InstanceID. If creds are not valid, check login greetings of VM. The machine should be accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. App login credentials (and additional app-related details) are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
