Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the GigaOps Security Agent, and the rate depends on the EC2 instance type where you run it. Each dimension matches one specific instance type, spanning general-purpose (t, m), compute-optimized (c), memory-optimized (r, x, z), storage (d, i, h), accelerated (g, p, inf, trn, vt, dl), and high-memory (u) families. Larger instances within a family generally carry higher hourly rates. You pick the dimension that matches your chosen instance size, and billing scales with the hours you run. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the matching type, billed per hour. The rate ties to that instance type, not to users or devices. You pay for each hour the instance runs the security agent. Each active instance meters separately.
Software charges apply only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue hourly software fees. Underlying AWS storage costs may still apply for stopped instances, but the security agent meters running hours only. Charges resume when you restart the instance.
You select the dimension that matches your instance type. Changing to a different type switches your billing to that type's hourly rate. Larger instances within a family generally carry higher rates. The change takes effect for the hours you run the new instance type.
