Dimensions summary
You choose from six hourly options grouped into two families. The first three are Cloud NGFW Professional units sized at 4C, 8C, and 16C. These sizes reflect compute capacity, so pricing scales as you move to larger units. The other three add a VPN Concentrator to the same 4C, 8C, and 16C sizes, giving you remote-access connectivity alongside firewall protection. Within each family, cost rises with the core size you select. You pay by the hour, so charges track how long each unit runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The C count reflects the compute cores allocated to each firewall instance. A 4C unit runs on four cores, 8C on eight, and 16C on sixteen. More cores support higher traffic inspection capacity, so you pick a size based on your expected throughput needs.
These options bill per hour based on how long each unit runs. A stopped unit does not accrue the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS infrastructure fees, such as storage, may still apply separately while the instance exists.
The VPN Concentrator versions add remote-access connectivity on top of the same firewall protection. This lets remote users and sites connect securely to your cloud workloads. The standard NGFW units provide threat detection, traffic inspection, and Zero Trust controls without the concentrator function.
