    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

Thank you for using the Classmethod LEMP Stack. This AMI is based on Ubuntu 22. 04.

    1. Once the instance is running, you can connect to the operating system via SSH using your Amazon private key and the username 'ubuntu.'

    2. For the DB server password, you can find it in the EC2 management console System Log. Select your instance -> Actions -> Monitor and troubleshoot -> Get System log. Alternatively, you can SSH into your instance and find the login credentials using the following command: $ cat /home/ubuntu/credentials.

    3. You can access phpMyAdmin after creating an SSH tunnel. For example, create an SSH tunnel by executing the following command: $ ssh ubuntu@{ipaddress} -i {ssh-key-file.pem} -N -L 8080:localhost:80. After creating the SSH tunnel, you can access the phpMyAdmin Welcome page at http://localhost:8080/phpMyAdmin/ . Please review the steps below to confirm SSH tunnel connection. For clarity, you can also refer to a private YouTube link for video recording of the same. https://youtu.be/PBRqDnTMIzk  a. Open Terminal (Linux/macOS) or Command Prompt (Windows): Open a terminal window on your local machine. b. SSH into the Remote Server: Use the SSH command to connect to your remote server. ssh ubuntu@{ipaddress} -i {ssh-key-file.pem} -N -L 8080:localhost:80 c. Access phpMyAdmin: With the SSH tunnel established, open your web browser and go to http://localhost:8080/phpMyAdmin/ . You should be able to access the phpMyAdmin interface as if it were running locally on your machine. d. Log in to phpMyAdmin: Log in using your Mariadb database credentials. Once logged in, you can manage your databases through the phpMyAdmin interface. e. Close the SSH Tunnel: When you're done, return to the terminal window where the SSH tunnel was established and press Ctrl + C to close the tunnel.

    4. If you want to use a MySQL user 'debian-sys-maint,' please set up the password with the MySQL root user. mysql> ALTER USER 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'YOUR_PASSWORD'; mysql> flush privileges; 5. If you are installing additional required PHP modules, install them with the PHP version. For instance, $ sudo apt install php8.0-mbstring.
