HOW PRICING WORKS
Buy a prepaid pot of Patchbay Units (1 Unit = $1 of rate-card value) as a Live or VOD package and draw it down against everything: sessions, enrichment, add-ons. Larger pots carry larger discounts. If you run out, metered overage keeps your events running at $1.00/Unit - no hard stops, no mid-year renegotiation. Unused Units roll over on renewal per our rollover policy. Worked example: a 3-day conference with 20 sessions, AI captions on everything, translation on 20% of sessions and sign language on 10% runs about 8,600 Units. See the full rate card under Resources.

Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A Patchbay Unit is a prepaid credit you draw down against items on the published rate card. You spend Units on live or on-demand sessions, enrichment (captions, translation, dubbing, audio description, AI insights), storage, and add-ons. Different items consume different Unit amounts at their published rates.
Usage continues without hard stops. Any usage beyond your prepaid Units bills through the Additional Patchbay Units overage dimension, metered monthly. You pay only for what exceeds your prepaid balance, so events are not cut off when Units run out.
It depends on the pack. One-month Live Event and VOD packs stand alone. Annual Live packages and VOD Enterprise require the Enterprise Platform layer plus a support tier (Bronze or higher). VOD Growth includes business-hours support, with Enterprise Platform and SLA tiers optional. One-time setup is purchased with your first contract.
