SDLP (SQL Data Lineage Platform) produces audit-grade, column-level data lineage for Microsoft SQL Server estates. It parses stored procedures, views, functions, triggers and jobs, logs every unresolved statement in a reject ledger, and links each lineage fact to the exact SQL that produced it, verified with SHA-256. Runs in your own environment, with exports ready for Microsoft Purview.
SDLP (SQL Data Lineage Platform) is an enterprise lineage system of record for Microsoft SQL Server estates, developed by Gudu Software and offered by Logan Data. SDLP computes column-level data lineage across your entire estate by parsing stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and jobs, then stores every derived lineage edge as an auditable fact in a governed repository.
SDLP is built on a simple principle: nothing is silently dropped and nothing is guessed. Every statement the scanner cannot resolve is recorded in a reject ledger with a reason code, a severity, and the raw SQL -- so lineage facts plus rejects always account for 100% of the scanned estate.
How It Works
Export - A read-only login exports catalog metadata and SQL module text into an export bundle. SDLP never reads table data.
Scan - Every procedure, view, trigger, and job is parsed into the lineage repository, with batch tracking and resumable checkpoints.
Validate - An independent validator, built as a separate implementation, recomputes the identity hash of every stored row and scores each batch from 0 to 100.
Consume - Explore lineage in the web catalog with interactive graphs and search, or deliver it downstream through the Export Center, CLI, or export API.
Key Capabilities
Column-level lineage with lineage roles: DIRECT, TRANSFORM, AGGREGATE, DERIVED, FILTER, JOIN, CONDITION, and INFLUENCED_BY
Reject ledger with machine-readable reason codes and severity levels for every unresolved statement
Hash-verified evidence: each fact opens the exact SQL statement that produced it, checked live with SHA-256
Baselines that freeze lineage "as accepted on date X" for attestation
Append-only, hash-chained audit trail for classifications, exports, and recomputes
PII impact analysis: stewards classify columns and SDLP shows where that data flows and how -- contains data, filtered by, joined with, or influenced by
Eight export types in CSV, JSONL, or Parquet, including a lineage CSV built for ingestion into Microsoft Purview with stable fact IDs
Seven roles, isolated workspaces, and OIDC sign-in
Evidence for Auditors
Tamper-evident trail: every change is written to an append-only, hash-chained event log
Independent verification: auditors can run the validator themselves without relying on the scanner
Baselines: freeze accepted lineage and attest against it at any time
Deployment and Scale
Runs entirely inside your own environment. Requires only Java on Linux or Windows and needs no outbound internet access, making it suitable for isolated and air-gapped networks.
Choose an embedded repository (no database server required) for evaluation, or a SQL Server repository for shared production use.
Typical time from download to first scan with the embedded repository: about 15 minutes.
Reference scan: 122 databases (about 29,000 analysis units and 450,000 column-level lineage facts) completed in under 2 hours on a 4-core server. Actual results vary by estate size and complexity.
Who It Is For
Data governance teams, data stewards, auditors, and scan operators at banks, insurers, and other regulated organizations that need to demonstrate where their data comes from and how it moves -- including regulatory lineage programs such as BCBS 239.
Compatibility: Microsoft SQL Server estates and folders of SQL files. Support for further database platforms is on the product roadmap.

Highlights
Audit-grade evidence. Each fact links to its exact SQL, SHA-256 verified. An independent validator scores every batch 0-100, and baselines freeze accepted lineage.
100% of the estate accounted for. Every lineage fact or reject is recorded; unresolved SQL goes to a reject ledger with a reason code and severity, never guessed.
Runs in your own environment with only Java. Governance built in: PII impact analysis, seven roles, OIDC, hash-chained audit trail, Microsoft Purview-ready exports.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers two editions billed as a contract. You buy the SDLP_Standard_Edition or the SDLP Enterprise Edition (with Premium SLA), each priced per unit. The two editions are independent choices rather than stacked add-ons. The Enterprise Edition adds a Premium SLA, which sets a service-level commitment beyond the Standard Edition. Both deliver the same SQL data lineage platform that parses SQL and maps how data moves across systems. You select the edition that matches your support and service-level needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit for billing in each edition?
The pricing table lists each edition priced per unit, but neither the dimensions nor the seller content define what one unit maps to — such as a user, server, or deployment. Contact the vendor to confirm how units are counted for your environment.
What does the Enterprise Edition's Premium SLA add over the Standard Edition?
The Enterprise Edition (with Premium SLA) carries a service-level commitment the Standard Edition does not. The exact response times, uptime guarantees, or support hours are not stated in the available data. Contact the vendor for the specific Premium SLA terms before you choose.
Do both editions include the same SQL lineage capabilities?
Both editions deliver the same platform that parses SQL and maps data flow at table, column, and query levels. It analyzes scripts, stored procedures, query history, and ETL logic across many database platforms. The editions differ by service-level commitment, not by core lineage features described in the available data.
