Bubbl is a location-based notification platform for travel. An SDK plugs into an existing iOS or Android app, and a dashboard lets marketing and operations teams draw geofences around airports, lounges, hotels and destinations, triggering notifications when travellers arrive or leave. Recipients can be travellers or staff, such as a ground team alerted when a passenger who has flagged needing assistance reaches the terminal.
Bubbl turns the location of a traveller into a trigger for the right message, sent to the right person, in the right place.
Use cases for Travel
Notifications fire when a traveller enters or leaves a zone. Use cases include a boarding reminder as they reach the terminal, lounge upgrades or duty-free offers once airside or a welcome message and local guidance on arrival at the destination. hotel.
Staff can be the targeted when a passenger who requested assistance in app enters the perimeter, or when a returning VIP reaches a lounge or hotel lobby, flagging the concierge team to greet them by name. The same geofence routes to whoever needs to act.
How it works
The platform has two parts. An SDK that integrates into an existing travel app on iOS or Android coupled with a dashboard where operations and marketing teams build and manage campaigns, drawing geofences around key areas such as terminals, lounges, hotels, transfer points, and creating different types of notifications.
A single SDK install takes about 30 minutes and campaigns are built and managed entirely from the dashboard, with no further development work. The same setup scales from one airport or hotel to an international portfolio.
Bubbl runs on AWS. Real-time reporting shows what is triggering and converting, while audience segmentation and reusable notification templates keep campaigns consistent across sites.
Key Results
Bubbl users see +80% higher engagement than standard push notifications with up to 4x improvement in 30-day retention.
Highlights
Notify travellers based on location. Draw geofences around terminals, lounges, hotels, transfer points and destination zones, triggering a notification when a traveller enters or leaves. Send a boarding reminder at the terminal, a lounge or duty-free offer airside, a welcome and local guidance on arrival, or a check-in prompt at the hotel.
Entry and exit triggers, with image, video, audio, survey and text formats.
Send the alerts directly to staff:
Bubbl notifications can target staff just as readily as the traveller. A passenger who flags for assistance can trigger an alert to the ground team when they reach the terminal, or a returning VIP arriving at the hotel lobby flags the concierge team to greet them.
The same geofence routes to whoever needs to act.
Set up campaigns in under 30 minutes:
Integration is a single SDK install for iOS or Android. After that, geofences and notification rules are built and managed from the dashboard, with no further development needed, across one property or a whole portfolio. Real-time reporting, audience segmentation and reusable templates are built in. Hosted on AWS.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You choose from three license options: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each is a contract-based subscription billed by units. Pricing scales to the number of your app users, so you pick the license that matches your user base. All three license the same location-based notification platform, which adds an SDK to your existing iOS or Android app. The tiers differ in scale rather than in the core capability offered.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as a unit for billing across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold licenses?
A unit is tied to the number of your app users. Your license is scaled to your active user base, so more app users means more units. You pick the license that matches your current user count.
What happens if my app user count grows beyond my current license?
Pricing scales to the number of your app users, so growth in your user base affects which license fits. You would move to the license tier that matches your larger user count. Contact the vendor for details on how the transition is handled.
Does the platform capability differ between the three license tiers?
No. All three license the same location-based notification platform, which adds an SDK to your existing iOS or Android app. The tiers differ in scale based on your app user count, not in the core features you can use.
