You get one running EC2 virtual machine preloaded with Keycloak, an H2 database, and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. The instance type you pick sets the CPU, memory, and networking capacity. The software is the same across all types; only the underlying compute size changes the hourly rate.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
