Overview
The Card Issuing platform enables issuers and financial institutions to deliver the full card issuing value chain on a single, centrally operated SaaS platform built from modular components. It supports Debit, Credit, and Prepaid cards across both physical and digital formats, including virtual, instant, onetime, and limited use cards. Capabilities span card lifecycle management, authorization, clearing and settlement, credit and prepaid ledgers, PIN and card security services, fraud prevention, tokenization, dispute and chargeback handling, white label mobile applications, and integrated card production through Tieto's own European factories.
The platform is designed for continuous production use in regulated environments and provides extensive configurability through opt in functionality. Issuers can compose products, services, and features to match business models and regulatory requirements, while all customers share a common platform core and software baseline. This model combines flexibility at the product and configuration level with the stability, scalability, and operational discipline of a standardized SaaS platform.
All PCI scoped processing is retained within the Tieto operated platform. Issuers integrate through standardized, non PCI interfaces, allowing them to remain outside PCI scope while benefiting from consistent security controls, compliance, and centralized operations.
This approach supports predictable operations, controlled change, and long term platform evolution, enabling issuers to expand card programs and introduce new capabilities without increasing architectural complexity or operational risk.
