    CentOS 9 Minimal ARM64 (4K-core LVM Ext4)

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
This product has charges associated with it for seller support. A professional, minimal CentOS Stream AMI for **ARM64 (Graviton)**, featuring a standard **4K page size kernel** for maximum software compatibility. Built with **UEFI and GPT**, it delivers a secure, cloud-optimized OS environment with full support for 2TB+ storage volumes.

    Overview

This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for extended support.

This product is an AWS AMI (Amazon Machine Image) built upon CentOS Stream, the upstream development platform for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). It is designed to provide a stable, secure, and future-ready operating system for mission-critical cloud workloads.

Modern Boot & Storage Optimization This image utilizes UEFI booting combined with a GPT (GUID Partition Table). This modern configuration ensures maximum performance on AWS Nitro-based instances and provides full out-of-the-box support for high-capacity storage volumes exceeding 2TB.

Clean & Minimal Foundation This AMI is a "Minimal" distribution, containing only the essential packages required for system operation and security. This reduces the attack surface and ensures a lightweight footprint, allowing you to install only the specific software your business requires.

4K vs 64K Kernel Page Size On ARM64 CentOS, the kernel can use 4K or 64K pages. 4K is the default, ensuring broad compatibility with applications and drivers, making it suitable for general-purpose servers. 64K reduces page counts for large memory workloads, improving efficiency in areas like big data, HPC, or in-memory databases, though it may cause compatibility issues. In short, 4K fits most deployments, while 64K benefits specialized, memory-intensive tasks.

    Key Features

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
