Live Interpreter provides real-time, two-way voice interpretation on live Amazon Connect calls. The caller speaks their language and hears it back; your agent works entirely in English. Neither party hears the other raw audio - only the translated voice.
Isolated by design. Each party hears only the translated voice - never the other raw audio. A standard Amazon Connect conference mixes everyone into one shared audio stream and cannot give each party a different, translated-only feed, so true mediated interpretation cannot be built on a conference.
52 languages, interpreted both ways, kept onshore in Australia. Live Interpreter supports 52 languages end-to-end in both directions, and every one of them can run fully onshore in Australia - speech recognition, translation, and voice all on Australian-resident infrastructure - so call audio does not have to leave the country. Coverage includes Australia major community languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Tagalog (Filipino), Korean, and Japanese. 23 of the 52 can run on entirely AWS-native voices; the remainder use an onshore Australian voice. A premium global-voice option is available for callers where data residency is not required.
Onshore transcript of record. Every call produces an auditable bilingual transcript, generated and stored onshore in Australia (Sydney region).
The agent screen. Your agent sees a live bilingual transcript with speech-recognition confidence surfaced, so they always know what was said.
Honest about what it is. This is machine-assisted interpretation, not NAATI-certified human interpretation. It is disclosed to callers as an AI interpreter; accuracy is not warranted.
Simple, honest pricing. You pay one per-active-session monthly fee for the LiveUCX translation platform only. You pay your own speech-recognition, translation, and voice providers directly, plus your own Amazon Connect telephony - no markup on AI, full cost control. There is no long-term commitment - simple pay-as-you-go, billed monthly.

You pay by usage, based on active interpreter sessions per month. One unit equals a single concurrent interpreted call — a two-leg mediated pair that connects a caller and an agent. Billing scales with how many of these sessions run each month, so your cost rises or falls with real usage. There are no tiers or fixed seats to choose from. This product relays call audio to a translation model you nominate, meaning you supply your own AI endpoint. Charges here cover the session relay itself, not the translation model you host separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one active interpreter session for billing?
One session is a single concurrent interpreted call — a two-leg mediated pair connecting one caller and one agent. The relay carries audio in both directions on that call. You are billed per active session each month, so the count reflects the interpreted calls that ran, not agents or minutes.
Does this charge include the AI translation model, or do I supply that separately?
The charge covers the audio relay and the two-way mediated session only. You nominate your own translation model and endpoint, and ProUCX relays and normalises the call audio to it. The AI model you host runs and bills separately from this session charge.
How does my cost change if interpreted call volume rises or falls?
Cost tracks the number of active interpreter sessions each month. More concurrent interpreted calls means more billed units; fewer means fewer. There are no fixed seats or tiers, so charges rise and fall with actual monthly usage rather than a committed quantity.

Vendor refund policy
Live Interpreter for Amazon Connect is billed monthly in arrears for actual usage (active sessions metered through AWS Marketplace), so there are no upfront or prepaid fees to refund. If you believe you were billed in error, email support@proucx.com.au within 30 days of the invoice with your AWS account ID and the billing month. We will investigate and, where an error is confirmed, issue a correction or refund through AWS Marketplace.
