This listing charges an hourly software fee that runs on top of your AWS EC2 costs. You pick one instance type from a preconfigured Ubuntu 22.04 image that runs Grafana OSS. Pricing scales by the instance size and family you select, not by users or data volume. Options span burstable t2 and t3a types for light workloads through general-purpose m4, m5, m6, and m7 families, up to large multi-xlarge and bare-metal instances for heavier use. You are billed per hour for as long as each instance runs. Larger instances carry more compute and memory, so their hourly rate differs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly software fee actually cover on this listing?
You pay for a preconfigured Ubuntu 22.04 image running Grafana OSS, an open source dashboard and visualization tool. The fee is charged per running instance hour and sits on top of your separate AWS EC2 compute charges. It does not vary by users, dashboards, or data volume.
Am I charged the hourly fee when my instance is stopped or powered off?
The software fee meters running time only, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing that charge. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes. The hourly rate resumes when you restart the instance.
Why do the hourly rates differ across the listed instance types?
Each instance type carries a different amount of compute and memory. Burstable t2 and t3a types suit light workloads. General-purpose m4, m5, m6, and m7 families and bare-metal options serve heavier use. The rate scales with the instance size and family you pick, not with usage.
