This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and OS-level hardening by Blume in line with ACSC Essential Eight compliance. The ACSC Essential Eight Rocky Linux 10 AMI delivers a compliance-ready operating system with security controls mapped to the Australian Cyber Security Centre's baseline mitigation strategies.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ACSC Essential Eight compliance, which defines the baseline set of mitigation strategies recommended by the Australian Cyber Security Centre to protect systems against common cyber threats. These controls include application whitelisting, patching applications and operating systems, restricting administrative privileges, implementing multi-factor authentication, and other key strategies that strengthen overall system security.
By delivering an OS image aligned with ACSC Essential Eight, organizations can accelerate compliance efforts and improve their security posture without needing to manually configure and audit the baseline themselves.
Achieving ACSC compliance matters because it ensures that your operating system is built against recognized Australian government security standards, reducing vulnerabilities, strengthening resilience against attacks, and meeting regulatory or industry mandated governance requirements.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this Rocky Linux 10 ARM image, hardened to ACSC Essential Eight controls with seller support. Pricing is usage-based, so you are billed only for the hours each instance runs. The many line items are not tiers or add-ons. Each one maps to a specific AWS ARM-based EC2 instance type, from small shared options like t4g.nano up to large and bare-metal sizes like r8g.metal-48xl. Your hourly software rate changes with the instance type you launch, since it scales with the compute capacity of that instance. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly charge cover, and what instance types can I run it on?
One hourly charge covers the hardened Rocky Linux 10 ARM image plus seller support on a single running instance. It runs only on ARM-based EC2 instance types, from small shared sizes like t4g.nano to bare-metal sizes like r8g.metal-48xl. You pick the instance type when you launch.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software rate meters running hours only. A stopped or paused instance accrues no hourly software charge. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for the attached volume, may still apply while the instance is stopped. The software license bills active running time.
Does my hourly rate change if I move to a different instance size?
Yes. The line items are not tiers or add-ons. Each one is a separate hourly rate tied to a specific ARM instance type. Launching a larger instance applies that instance type's rate for every hour it runs. The change takes effect with the instance you launch.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

How to Connect to Your Rocky Linux 10 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem rocky@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your Rocky Linux 10 instance via SSH.
