This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and OS-level hardening by Blume in line with ACSC Essential Eight compliance. The ACSC Essential Eight Red Hat 10 AMI delivers a compliance-ready operating system with security controls mapped to the Australian Cyber Security Centre's baseline mitigation strategies.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ACSC Essential Eight compliance, which defines the baseline set of mitigation strategies recommended by the Australian Cyber Security Centre to protect systems against common cyber threats. These controls include application whitelisting, patching applications and operating systems, restricting administrative privileges, implementing multi-factor authentication, and other key strategies that strengthen overall system security.
By delivering an OS image aligned with ACSC Essential Eight, organizations can accelerate compliance efforts and improve their security posture without needing to manually configure and audit the baseline themselves.
Achieving ACSC compliance matters because it ensures that your operating system is built against recognized Australian government security standards, reducing vulnerabilities, strengthening resilience against attacks, and meeting regulatory or industry mandated governance requirements.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 ARM image hardened to ACSC Essential Eight controls, with seller support included. Pricing has one structure: an hourly software rate tied to the AWS EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension names a specific ARM-based instance size, from small shared instances up to bare-metal and high-core configurations. Larger instances with more compute, memory, or storage carry higher hourly rates. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and your cost scales with its size and the hours you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly instance charge actually cover for this image?
Each hourly rate covers the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 ARM image, the ACSC Essential Eight operating-system hardening, and seller support, running on one EC2 instance of the size you chose. The charge is tied to that single running instance, metered per hour.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage and other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but those are separate from this listing's hourly software price.
What responsibilities remain mine beyond the hardened image I pay for?
The price covers the operating-system image and the controls listed. You remain responsible for workload configuration, identity, networking, application security, monitoring, recovery, and deciding whether your complete system meets your obligations. A product baseline is not a system-wide compliance claim.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
We recommend scoping your launched EC2 instance to only your internal network and restricting access to your own IP address for maximum security.
How to Connect to Your Red Hat 10 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your Red Hat 10 instance via SSH.
