The software itself is free. You pay only for the AWS compute you run it on, billed hourly by instance size. Five ARM64-based instance types are available: t4g.micro, t4g.small, t4g.medium, and t4g.large, plus m6g.large. These are not feature tiers. They differ in CPU and memory capacity, so pricing scales with the size of the instance you choose. Pick a size based on your call volume and workload. Larger instances cost more per hour. You can stop the hourly charge by stopping the instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the instance types like t4g.micro or m6g.large actually give me?
Each name is an AWS ARM64 instance size. They differ in CPU cores and memory. Smaller sizes like t4g.micro suit low call volume. Larger sizes like t4g.large or m6g.large handle more simultaneous calls and users. Pick based on your expected workload and call traffic.
Am I charged when I stop or pause the instance?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. Stopping the instance stops the hourly charge. Note that AWS may still bill underlying storage for a stopped instance. The MikoPBX software itself is free; you pay only for the running compute time.
If I move to a larger instance later, how does my hourly cost change?
Each instance type carries its own hourly rate that scales with CPU and memory. Moving to a larger size raises your hourly charge; moving smaller lowers it. There are no feature tiers, so the change reflects capacity only. You control this by choosing which instance to run.
